Overview

The project's progress is evaluated by frequent assessments (Checkpoint Report), configuration data (version control status supplied by the Configuration Librarian) and comparisons between anticipated progress (via the frozen Project Plan and Work Package) with actual progress (products delivered, project statistics etc).

Checkpoint Reports created by the Team Manager are derived from MP2 Executing a Work Package and filed using Configuration Management. Approving a product in the process CS9 Receiving Completed Work Package updates its Work Package status, which in turn helps The Project Manager to assess progress. The Quality Log ensures that quality targets are being met. Responsibilities for this sub-process lie with the Team Manager who ensures Work Packages are delivered on time as defined in the Communications Plan.
